Doing Good For The Environment
Sustainability News
As a brand, we’re mindful of the present and cautious of the future. We want to keep on educating ourselves on the carbon footprint we leave behind as a commercial corporation and actively seek out initiatives that help us reduce our environmental impact. We know change is slow and doesn’t happen overnight, but we’re slowly but surely determined on becoming an eco-friendly brand.
Let’s start with product packaging. As of now, our frames come in mixed materials, and due to the fragile nature of frames, we’re forced to resort to using not-so-environmental-friendly bubble wrap material when we are transporting them. To offset this, we’ve investigated sourcing ‘responsible wood’ for our wooden frames in line with our ongoing mission to be more mindful about how we produce our goods.
This is why we adopted a production cycle based on the ‘produce on demand’ model. This means we print and frame only when an order comes through on our online store. We feel this greatly reduces wastage of resources as we consume only what we need to.
We’re not perfect, and we’ve got a long way to go, but we know we can’t do this alone. Establishing partnerships with similar-minded invididuals and businesses is something we feel very strongly about, and we’ve dedicated much of our resources to sourcing and making a real and lasting connection with companies who are active in pursuing the same goal.
