Arabic words illustrated to match their literal meaning

Mahmoud Tammam, is an architect and graphic designer based in Alexandria, Egypt. He cleverly manipulates Arabic words, transforming them into visual representations of their own meaning. The words Tammam often chooses are animals, effortlessly turning the letters into the familiar characterisitcs of a llama’s neck, or an octopus’s tentacles. These pictorial translations break down any language barrier, allowing the words to be instantly understood by those not familiar with the Arabic language.
